An authentic 19th-century American country Windsor side chair featuring distinct bamboo-turned legs, stretchers, and back spindles. Crafted with a shaped crest rail and a single-board contoured saddled plank seat, this piece showcases classic period construction with visible mortise-and-tenon joinery and hand-incised detailing along the seat margin. Underneath the seat, it bears an original hand-written cabinetmaker's ink signature or pencil inscription from its 1800s maker.
This chair is in great primitive antique condition. The wood has a rich, deeply aged amber patina with authentic century-old surface wear, light scuffs, and natural wood oxidation on the seat that highlight its history. Structurally tight, solid, and ready for daily use as an accent seat, desk chair, or dining piece.
