Authentic 1970s "Monterey Bay Line" rolling patio chaise lounge crafted from genuine California Redwood by Harris of Pendleton (Harris Pine Mills, with local history out of their Tranquility, NJ division). Purchased in the 1970s, this piece sat unassembled in storage until just a few years ago—meaning the solid redwood frame, wooden rear wheels, and galvanized spring suspension grid are remarkably fresh with shiny, rust-free hardware. Features wide paddle armrests and a multi-position reclining backrest.
The redwood frame is structurally rock-solid and in fantastic shape. It comes with its original 1970s yellow plaid cushion, which retains the factory maker's tag on the seam (note: the paper hangtags pictured are for provenance reference only and are not included). The cushion has discoloration and missing buttons, so you can keep it for pure retro character or easily drop on a fresh replacement cushion.
Vintage California Redwood is prized because old-growth redwood naturally resists rot and weather better than modern patio wood, and having shiny, unrusted 1970s springs and bolts is a rare bonus.
