A rare, matched set of six authentic 19th-century American country Windsor dining chairs. Crafted from solid wood with a warm honey-amber glow, each chair features a thick, single-board saddled plank seat, three slender central spindles, a wide curved crest rail, and splayed turned legs reinforced with classic perimeter box stretchers. The undersides showcase true period craftsmanship, including hand-wedged through-tenon joinery and deep, century-old wood oxidation. Finding a complete, matching set of six genuine antique primitive chairs from this era is exceptionally rare, making them an incredible statement set for a rustic modern, wabi-sabi, or classic farmhouse dining space.

These chairs are in wonderful antique condition with an extraordinary, lived-in patina earned over more than a century of history. The solid plank seats and frames display rich, honest character—including historic surface scratches, tool marks, and worn edges—while the leg joints have been reinforced over the years to keep them sturdy and ready for daily dining. One of the chairs (the last one in the series of photos) was repaired more recently on the seat where it connects to the back support spindle but is structurally sound.

Approximate Dimensions (each chair is slightly different):
Back Height 32”
Seat Height 17”
Seat Depth 12.5”
Seat Width 13.5”
